a very long engagement

a very long engament stars audry tattaou (cant remember how to spell her name correctly even though i want to have her babies) a young girl with polio searching for her love lost in france during the first world war (the great war). directed by jean renau both of amelie fame. beautifully shot....perhaps the greatest scene is when they make love for the first time before he is shiped off...she blows off the candle and takes off a peice of clothing then he lights the candle again...but in old fashion romance it leaves everything to the imaginaion.
i give this movie 8 1/2 pints see it

the last house on the left (dvd)

one of the most disturbing films of 1972 i have ever seen directed by wes craven of his first film....about two girls kidnaped and raped and tourtured by 3 escaped pysco's and an "animilistic girl". the whole time the parents of the one kidnaped girl are trying to figure out what happened...the movies climax is hysterical and nauseating at the same time
this is something you have to see for yourself - but only once

the good, the bad and the ugly (dvd over three non consecutive evenings)

for a long time i resisted clint eastwood but in recent years as ive gotten older ive learned to appricate fine film making and sergio leones the good the bad and the ugly originaly filmed in italian is a top notch spaghetti western, and epic tale. what makes this movie so fantastic is the even the good is still a little bad or total bad ass anyway....the ultimate anti-hero.

on a recomendation from jason, after watching Tombstone, i watched Unforgiven wich was also exellent. So its stood to reason that in my western fase i should watch the good the bad and the ugly...third in a trilogy that kicked off clint eastwoods fame after a brief stint on tv westerns.

this movie is worth watching (all 2hrs 41mins) if only for the three way draw at the end.

Cursed (theatre)

redefing terms. ca-ka; (adjective) - cursed.

boy did that suck...i was so dissapointed in this movie. not since the last 5,000 of the "scream" series has wes craven brought us such crapola. i wept, i wept for christina ricci, i wept for scott baeo. the only good thing about this movie was the were wolf giving a middle finger to a bunch of cops. do your self a favor, if you want to see a good were wolf movie...rent "an americain were wolf in london" with griffin dunn and the dude from the old dr. pepper comercials.
