Last samurai (dvd)

alls i can really say is eh, my but is sore from watching this "film" where tom cruise and billy conally go to japan hired to train the japanese army to fight against the samurai. billy connally, the only saving grace to this film dies in the first half...yea kill the irishman...bastards...then cruise is captured

while the film shows the relationship between the 2 lead charitors cruise and ken watanbe very well it fails to show the build up between cruise and omura..the wife of the man cruise killed.

all and all it was mildy entertaining and not really worth seeing..even the action sequences were bland
i give it

Waking Ned Devine (DVD)

grab yourself a bottle of your favorite Irish whiskey and a nice "chicken dinner"
this a a wonderful movie about a small Irish town that has a lotto winner, only problem is hes dead...the 2 main characters schem to take the winnings of 7 million pounds 600,800,072 to be exact. For this to work they have to convince the town of 52 to split the money evenly and that Michael (of the butterfinger commercial) is really ned, well hilarity ensues when the lotto man comes to town and they have to ride around on a motorbike naked...see it.. my only problem is the sub plot about pig finn and his girl friend who wont go near him because he smells like a pig, as he is a pig farmer. but i found my self sevral times raising a glass and smoking one of my favorite crisps (winston lights) i recommend this movie especially if your into all things Irish as i am.

Spellbound (dvd)

can i really give this movie a fair review since i only saw th last 35 minutes...yes..well maybe. anyway a was returning a shirt covered in vomit that was left in my car (i washed it i washed it!) and this was on the tv..it drew me in it follows about eight kids in a national spelling bee, holy shit these kids are crazy spellers. all and all its a good documentary the most fasinating part was the kid who practiced eight thousand words a day with his father, man what disipline for something completley useless...

50 First Dates (DVD)

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star in this mediocre romantic comedy about a man who falls in love with a woman with no short term memory..It has its moments and the scenery is beautiful nut it would have been much funnier and interesting if Rob Schnieders part was played by Roy Scieder of "JAWS" fame i havent the slightest idea why. All and all its just ok but worth watching if you need to take a break from the voices in your head and if you have the choice between this and "I Spy" well....

Films of doom part 1 (saw)

The films of doom is dedicated to brining you the latest reviews in movies DVD's and yes even vhs (whatever i happen to watch last night) so to begin this shit ill review saw

"Saw" (in theaters)
What would you do if you woke up in a nasty bathroom with your leg chained to a pipe a half naked dead guy in the middle of the room and a fellow chainey...you later on find out that you have to get out to save your wife and daughter being held elsewhere by the same guy...now the only way to save them is to cut off your foot with a hack saw and kill the other guy in the room. Ok now thats fucked up but what if you where the other guy and you knew all this. Shit crazy twist ending. this is one of those movise that doesnt really scare you while your watching it but after you walk your girlfriend to the door you check your back seat and after you get home and your lights are out you check all closets. Cary Elwes and Danny Glover are awesome as usual. Leigh Whannell writes and stars as adam. dont ask me who directed it i cant remember

i highly recomend this movie...
